ANTO is a sample library made of recordings from an old upright piano.

This is my childhood upright piano, captured as-is.

The piano itself is dusty and loved, and as such ANTO is not the most traditionally beautiful piano sample library you have ever heard. Rather than trying to force the samples to be something they aren not, the decision was made to lean in to the fact that the piano is a ghost of its former self. A phantom, if you will.

ANTO is a unique and off-center piano library, perfect for something imperfect. The samples were pitch-corrected but some notes were left slightly-out-of-tune to give it an extra hint of character. With occasionally plonky percussive hammer sounds, ANTO is best used as a supporting layer buried underneath other things.

In addition to the primary piano patch there is a pad patch that is made from using the sustain tail of the piano recordings. Blending the two together makes for a truly specter-like sound.

Downloading ANTO gives you permission to use its sounds in any commercial or non-commercial project.
